So which would be faster a GSXR1000 or a Hayabusa?
The gixer is clearly quicker round the twisty bits. But there aren't many corners at Snetterton, and i'm guessing the Busa is faster in a straight line? Last edited by New Leaf; 18-01-09 at 10:06 AM. |

Same rider same conditions the GSXR would win.

hmm - but the hayabusa would be faster down the straight would it not? And the straights are very long at snetterton. If not why would anyone buy one?

Peak power isn't that different. Providing they were riding the GSXR in its power band, there'd be little difference.

Not only that, but the gsxr would be quicker everywhere else on the track, and would be exiting the bends at the start of the straights faster. So there may well be a few hundred yards at the ends of the straights where the busa was faster, but not enough to swing it.
Think of Blue svs videos of him thrashing gsxrs round Silverstone on the SV.Even on a circuit like Snett its corner speed that makes lap times.

A lightweight gixxer would outbrake the fatty 'Busa everycorner too.
I'll have a Busa on the road everytime tho'. In black, thanks. |

busa's are heavy.. massive wheelbase longer to turn, they have the power but nothing much more.. personaly i think busa's are crap both looking and performing lol, great for the yanks mind.. as corners are a myth in most of there racing. the Gixer every time your talking 180 mph at a moments request and thats restricted lol just my 2p
