I need some advice on dogbones for my '99 sv650s.
My bike had a lady owner beforehand, and she had lowered the bike with longer dogbones. They gave the standard ones as well, which i imagine is shorter. I need to know if the standard dogbones will raise the back end up. Im a 6ft3" bloke weighing in at almost 19st, riding round on a lowered SV. HELP! Standard height will be fine? Or should i even raise it?? Advice please! |

JHS said £44 for their own ones. Rather pricey compared to those then. Again, thanks for teh info! |

JHS's raise the rear a little more I believe, Dangerous Dave will know for sure. As you are tall rearsets may be an idea as this will alter the seat to peg position.

Hi all - thought I'd hijack one of the many dogbone related threads already out there for my question... I'm in the same position as the OP in that my 650S-Y was lowered by a previous owner and it's too low for me to ride comfortably for any great length of time.
What length of links do I need to get it back up to OE spec OR so it's comfortable? From what 'Interceptor' posted I assume 40mm from http://www.cjaccessories.co.uk/produ...cat=264&page=1 would do the trick as I'm 5'11. I can't seem to find anywhere what the OE length is. Any advice? |

CJ Accessories only sell longer and shorter suspension linkages, what you will need to do is get some OEM ones.
Part Number: 62641-20F00 They cost about £15 each, you will need two, and you can buy them from any Suzuki dealer or online at Robinsons (2-3 day delivery). Alternatively have a look on Ebay or post a thread in the Wanted section on this forum. |
