hi all
just like to say a quick hello my name is chris from bridgend area s/wales. this is my first thread. i have a k3 silver 650. my question is i need a pair of new tyres. i have had two prices for avon storms and a pair of bt 021`s they are both £180 fitted . i would be very grateful for any feedback on each tyres. main use is for commuting in all weathers except ice!!!!!!. and the occasional rideout. p.s i have no clue on which would be the best. thanks chris |

The avons are a good tyre, everyone who's fitted them seems to like them. Long life, plenty sticky enough in the dry, awesome in the wet.

Personaly I would go for the Dunlop Roadsmarts as they are very highly rated in all conditions and have a very good tread life as well as good handling characteristics (they are tripple compound). I have recently had a set on my SV (around £200) and I use my bike daily for work in all conditions and they have been fantastic...

Have a look at the Tyre Section of this forum.

I have just had my tyres changed and i went for the storms after people on here pointed them out to me.
You will notice the difference right away. I am pretty new to riding but since having these fitted i have a lot more confidence in myself and the bike, it just seems to stick to the road. Avon Storms get my vote ![]() |

RBOs.
They're good.
