Why do you love bikes so much?

I think it could be an interesting discussion to talk about why you love bikes so much, and choose them as your main form of transport as opposed to a "cage".
Riding a motorbike is the most dangerous form of transport on the road, the coldest and wettest in the winter and the hottest in the summer with sticky leathers.

I have always liked motorbikes since i was very young, and i find the appeal in the sense of adventure that bikes seem to give. Such as being able to 'feel' the environment and the road more, being out on your own travelling long distances.
Theres also the practical plus sides such as the cost of owning and maintaining a bike rather than a car (insurance, servicing, tax), the ability to get to your destination faster than cars (yes even sticking to the speed limit) because you can overtake, filter through traffic, and park on the pavement .
It has always appealed to me in ways that cars don't. And for me, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by miles.

What are your reasons for riding a bike and using it as your main form of transport?

I like not having to talk to anyone. Just sticking my helmet on and concentrating on what im doin and where im going.

Makes me feel very at ease and calm but excited at the same time

Just enjoy it so much... Cant really put my fingure on it I dont think. I can tell you im getting withdrawl though, its only been 10 days now as well, bloody weather. How people can do without them for so much longer I dont know...

gannin deeeaaaaad fast in a society that is killing all personal risk taking and treating us like brain dead sheep (apologies to any sheep who read this).

Also I like over taking young ladies in a cars with the top down....as I can usually see down there tops.
