http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7865674.stm

Don't see the fuss tbh, it appeared to be a wide open road. Didn't look like 100+ either with the thing aimed at the top of his back tyre.

A-whatever it is "notorious", why? For being easy to speed on? A-hole scamera operators more like.

Not like he was going like a mad bugger either, 122 is hardly hammering a 'busa.

Nutcase - Do it on your own by all means but I wouldn't do that sort of speed carrying my own son.

Imagine the bollo**ing from his missus.

Doesn't exactly matter what he was on, 122 is still fast enough for a big ouch on contact with a hard object...

The fuss is mainly to do with his son being on the back, there obviously wouldn't be as much fuss if it had just been him.

wet road, with any pilion at that speed is daft.
dangerous? maybe not.
increased risk? definatly.
risk I would take with my son? no way.

It's a wide open road by the look of the vid, where's the danger? People don't just spontaneously hit things for a laugh. Copper going "900ft stopping distance" leaves out the small fact that if you can see a mile then there's no problem.

Bad form for speeding on a road like that though, scameras love the bits where it's easy and safe to speed.

to be fair 20mph will cause damage if you hit a hard object.

I agree though MissYC he's an idiot. I'm sure if the headline read instead biker loses control of Busa and kills son at 122mph he'd be flamed relentlessly even if why he lost control wasn't toally his fault, it's the action that's wrong, not the consequence.

Anyone notice the glitch speed reading the camera has?

*error*

I would have just said "never take it over 55"

Silly with a pillion though.

I saw that and initially didn't think it looked anywhere near 122...odd. Maybe he's pi$$ed off someone high up and they're taking their revenge...

That is not over 70mph. I would say about 65 ?? 120mph would be scraping the pegs on that corner.
