Hi People
Thought it was about time I did some bits to my bike but not sure where to start. I want to change the tail tidy but is there more than one, which company is the best to go to, or can you name a company. I also want to get a new exhaust for it, so any one got any suggestions. What else could I do to the bike? cheers |

You could always search the site, but a lot depends on what you're looking to spend.
For exhausts, around £100-120 will get you a slip on can, such as Carbon Can Company (CCC), MTC or FUEL. I can vouch for MTC as they are literally 2 miles from me and VERY helpful...they're all similar cans though. For the tail tidy, I think Hamicad are probably the best looking/easiest to fit, with R&G next. When I bought my K8 Sport, my first mods were crash protectors (R&G), Cotton Reels (R&G), Fender Extender (extension to front mudguard - from Pyramid Plastics), a Scottoiler and a double bubble/airflow screen. The crash protectors have more than paid for themselves in the 7 months I've had the bike (found it on it's side one morning - no damage, got knocked off recently crash protectors save most stuff). |

Thanks for that mate
Ive been looking at the mtc website and going to give them a call. Have you got a rear hugger on your bike, and if so does it stop a lot of the muck flying up the back of your bike? |

I did have, but sold it to someone on here when my bike was written off, only to buy my bike back
![]() It did stop a lot of crud flying up and if you're thinking of a tail tidy, a hugger would be useful as the tail tidy has far less (if any) protection from road crud (especially if you're thinking of taking a pillion) than the stock mudguard. Now I have my bike back I'm not going to put a hugger on, as to be honest, I think the back end looks better without it. Then again, I'm keeping the stock mudguard on as I have Givi soft luggage that I use for carrying my laptop etc to work and it needs all the protection it can get. Plus I take the missus pillion quite a bit. EDIT: I'd also recommend a Stebel Nautilus air horn (about £20 off eBay). Easy to fit (there are wiring diagrams on here if you do a search. The stock horn isn't great and the Nautilus makes people think there's a wagon behind them! |
