Hi all,
Ive got a Nokia 6300 (work phone) and for some reason it now fails to recognise that my headset is plugged into it. At first I thought it was the headset that was the problem but it works fine on my personal phone (same phone!). I then thought the sound had gone but I checked that and its fine. Ive gone through all the setting to check if Ive accidentally muted the sound / changed the profiles..nothing has changed. I then searched the 02 help pages - nothing came up. Does anyone know how this could be fixed? Or think of anything that I could try? Im assuming Im going to have to phone 02 and get it sent off to be repaired... ![]() Meh, stupid phones. Maria |

My 6300 does the same - although sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I tried another headset to no effect and mine worked on the other phone too - just like yours by the sound if it. Fortunately I've not had much need for it, but if you find a fix please let me know.

The wired headset for my N95 is likewise sometimes dodgy.
The fix - a Bluetooth headset - takes the connector out of the equation. If either of you want to borrow one to try (you can buy for < £10 these days) I can arrange something (have a few at home)

One of the Bluetooth headsets I have has a 3.5mm jack plug for headphones if that would make a difference - ie its not an in-your-ear headset - if you can use an mp3 player then you can use that.

What does it normally plug into - because if it IS 3.5mm I have a bluetooth headset that can take a 3.5mm feed (normally from an Mmp3 player) as well as syncing with a phone - it then fades the mp3 feed out when a call comes in - so if the loop plugs into some kind of mic/amp set up (please forgive my ignorance) I can probably sort you out with something.
