Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).![]() |

Didn't know you could use it for the org. All i know is that vista has it in the sidebar thing so i got the BBC one, isn't it just an update thing which lists all latest news? I'm confused by it aswell, sure we're not the only ones.

RSS is a web feed format, and yes, it serves only to provide updates.
Basically, if you use it for the .Org, you get updates for the whole site, so you know when someone has posted on a thread, without logging in. (I think, as I don't use it myself). Just like with news feeds, you get a snippet of the news & can click a link to get more detail if you're interested. |

Yeah - someone would have to set up a feed for this to work - either RSS or Atom.
You then can access this feed as an xml file and do with it what you will. I take feeds from various blogs and bring them into our corporate site and put a bit of styling on them. We're doing one next week for a "webinar" where I'll be dumping twitter feeds into our system. |
