Default 1000 Should I remap when fitting end cans

Hi All,

I'm sure this has been asked before but I have searched and couldn't find a direct answer, so I thought I'd ask.

I've just fitted a set of Fuel end cans to my thou. They come with removable baffles and I rode the bike today with the baffles in and it felt just as it did before with standard cans. No real problem there, but it's still too quite so I'm going to remove the baffles!

My question is, I'm unsure as to what this will do to the fuel set up, should I be considering a K&N filter and a power commander to suit the de-baffled cans - I haven't actually ridden the bike with the baffles out yet so I can't say how it feels but Fuels web site says "If you do choose to rejet or remap, you will see further power gains and improved throttle response.". I guess that kind of answers my question but you guys might have some real world practical advice.

Cheers.

a remap is always a good thing on a 1000 to sort out that stutter on a steady throttle that it has, i never bothered with mine and it was fine, depends if you want to spend the money i surpose but it'll be fine if you dont.

I've got Quill race cans on mine, no baffles with them. Had no fueling probs and done no mapping, Power Commandering and have standard airfilter, in fact I rode it the other week with the standard cans on for it's MOT and it feels much better with the race cans on.
