How do you find the average (mean etc) on excel? i'm having a blonde moment and i have over 400 data points so dont want to do it manually

=average(A1:A20) or whatever your range is

=average(first data point cell reference:last data point cell reference)

Or, at the bottom right corner you'll see NUM. right hand click on this and select AVERAGE, then when you highlight the numbers you want, the average will be displayed here.
