Just check it out like any other bike, watch out for corrosion, extremely bad rattles and clanks, check the oil, check for crash damage bent/cracked frame. can't think of any particular weak spots at the mo.

Think he meant the coils might not be long lived Dave

Plenty more miles than 40k before you really need to worry, providing they're properly cared for IMO. That's the bikes, not the coils.

Well with that milleage it should be OK, but it wont have been ridden very much which can also cause problems.

typically on an SV

1. Electrics, check for the wiring loom chaffing on the headstock, riders seat bolts on left hand side, around the rear subframe. The Regulator / Recitifier can fail which means the battery doesnt charge.

2. Speedo Rotor can get damaged when the front wheel is taken out to change tyres.

3. Water can get into the front spark plug if you ride in heavy rain

4. It can be heavy on chain and sprockets, so have a look at those, the SV is sensitive to chain tension so watch for a notcy or lumpy gear change

5. Front brakes can stick on if winter maintenance / cleaning not kept on top of, you might want to check this on a bike thats been stood for a long time.

6. Rust, its a Suzuki it will rust if not cleaned or maintained regularly even then it might rust.

7. Corrosion on the fork fork legs, caused by stone chips on the laquer thats over the paint, then water gets in and the lacquer bubbles off, not a big problem it just looks bad.

8. Sometimes the choke plungers will stick in the barrels on the carbs, so make sure they choke operates and the lever / cable move freely.

Off the top of my head thats the things that effected my SV. So have a look for or ask about all of that, but with it having such low miles on it, I would iimagine most of that wont be an issue. None of those are massive issues, and can be put right if you are handy with spanners or reasonably cheaply enough by a dealer.

Have a look in the owners garage if you can, look for tools, cleaning products, paddock stand all that sort of stuff will show you if the owner is careful over maitenance / looking after their bike.

I'm not sure what the current market is like, price sounds reasonable, but its a buyers market at the moment so haggle over the price...

Hope thats useful, welcome to the forum.
