Smile Renthals On A Pointy?

Thinking of putting a set on renthals on my k5 naked. The bars im looking at add about 2" either side.

Has anyone done this and will it work without any mods?

Hoping It would as I don’t want the hassle of getting a longer clutch cable, throttle cables or electrics and brake lines etc

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

You'll probably get away with 2" but there's nothing for it but to suck it and see really.

The best thing about renthals is they don't fold up in the most minor of lowsides like the OEM cheese.

Indeed. Add some barkbusters and even in a pretty spectacular highside your levers etc. are fine.

Use gasgas trails bars from renthal, theyre narrower at the clamps so you have plenty of straight bar to get the levers and switchgear where you want

Or use ultra lows and cut off about an inch on either end.
