MOT place in tonbridge

Morning all

I'm new to my area and was wondering if anyone here is local and can receommend an MOT tester?

I use John Harris (http://www.jhmc.co.uk) in Crowborough (It's actually a Honda dealer) but there good in there and have always seen me right?!
There's always the mail stealer in the wells....

I use the place in High Brooms..... Would never use Fastlane in Tonbridge again..!!!

Thanks. Annoyingly Fast Lane is about 2 miles from me. Why would you never go back there?

Might just take a trek round to P&H.

I used to go to what's now Fast Lane, or to Sturdeys on Shipbourne Road.

But I haven't lived in Tonbridge for about a decade, so not the most current recommendations.

Year before last I took my bike there for a MOT while I waited around... Out come's a spotty faced twit with a rollup dangling from his gob.. proceeds to jump on my bike and immediately starts to bounce the forks up and down with such a force I thought they were going to collapse then for no apparent reason he starts the engine and starts revving as tho it was his twist and go scooter.... Anyway I told him to f**k off and get me his boss. who then proceeded to carry out the MOT.... turns out the spotty one wasn't even licenced to carry out MOT's ... Plus I had the feeling they were looking for work to do on it before giving me a MOT...

Try the people round at High Brooms just up the road from you... better than a scherlep right over to Crawley

I used to use Sturdeys for my servicing on the SV and although they can be a grumpy bunch they were always very professional. I'm not sure if they do MOT's but its worth phoning and asking.

From the front page of their web site:

"MOTS 'WHILE YOU WAIT' ON ALL MOTORCYCLE MAKES AND MODELS. INCLUDING ALL BRITISH MOTORCYCLES. "

Sturdey's do MOTs which is only a couple of miles from me so i might chance it. I know the bike is in good condition and they know i do all my own work so there'll be no "oooh your brake pads need changing - we could do that for £5,000 but we'll need the bike for a month"

And they are exceptionally grumpy men.
