Default WANTED - hard top box for SV650S (and advice)

Let me know if you have one you want to sell!

Also, does anyone know how easy these generally are to fit, or which are the best options if I end up buying new? I'm looking for one that will fit (ideally) one helmet plus a bit more.

Thanks.

Givi are the best IMO but most expensive. Kappa are owned by givi and are a cheaper version. Kappa boxes will fit a Givi rack and vica versa. i THINK you can get a mout to relace the pillion seat in which case it is just astreight swap. Alternatively you can buy a givi / kappa rack that will be a specific kit to fit your bike and fits in about 30min. ebay search will being up kits with various size small boxes. the larger ones are best picked up second hand as they are very pricey new ~ £200+

You can get a suzuki one, that mounts in place of the pillion seat, I have this one, as I felt it would minimise any handling issues. The box is made by Givi I believe-Robinsons foundry online was where I got it, for about £130 IIRC. Size wise it will take an arai helmet, with stuff packed round it but I didn't want one so big it impinged on filtering.

Or, you could bolt the mounting plate to the rear seat, or a spare, then it takes seconds to remove all trace of a top box.......

I have done this and am more than satisfied at the stability and security of this method.

ah, I was hoping tony would be along at some point with a piccy of his bike. I've seen it in the flesh and the box seems very secure, I'm sure he'd give you a few pointers if you want to copy his seat idea.

hi nikki,

I've got the suzuki box and mounting plate that goes in place of the rear seat.
Was scuffed a little by it's previous owner (i got the box 2nd hand) nothing very noticable.
Lid plus bits fit in no probs

as i've already sold the bike they can go for £75.

Where abouts do you live as it'll be a sod to post?
