Anyone know, around Edinburgh/Lothians, where I can get hold of those plastic rivets that hold the lower fairings together ? Some websites seem to stock similar to what I need but they sell in a minimum of 100 and I'm only looking for half a dozen. Alternatively, anyone know of a nuts and bolts stockist around the Lothian areas ?

Not sure if this is what you mean and it's on e-bay but just in case.

I know the ones you mean......
http://www.tfc.eu.com/flipbooks/panel-fasteners.php We looked at these guys in our work but as you mentioned, typically you can only buy in 1,000s Try given them a call and see if they would send you a few as a courtesy. Justin Lawrence is the chappy. On the other hand....... cable ties are your friend! Keep the hinge plate and just get a heavy duty tie from your local DIY or sparky supplier. Cheers |

Thanks everyone for your ideas ec - I did think about the number plate nuts and bolts as a possibility. I can't really be bothered ordering something and having to wait days for it to arrive - would rather just nip it in the bud and go out and buy the bleeding thing - I just don't have the patience !

If you can get them for 6p each, then doing them @ £2 for 10 inc postage would be a VERY fair (and still profitable) rate, I am fairly sure that most people on here would pay that rate.
