Default 1995 (M plate) VFR 400 NC30

Hi,

Due to a new baby on the way, which means I'll have even less time to ride my bikes, they are both being sold (the other is a 2006 SV650N, posted on the SV section if anyones interested).

The VFR is a black and red NC30. It is in mint condition and has done low mileage. I'm at work as I write this and honestly can't remember what the mileage is, but I think it's in the region of 15k miles (the clocks show Km, but if you convert I'm pretty sure it's around 15k Miles). I've had it for about 5 years and whilst it's had regular use, it hasn't been a lot of miles. It was imported to the UK from Japan in 1998 (the M plate is age related - it was sold new in Japan in 1995). It's been cherished by both the two previous UK owners and myself. in the time I've had it it's onyl eben caught in rain once. It's been cleaned more than riden (shamefully!).

To the best of my knowledge it's all original, with the exception of a small switch in the inside of the fairing, a red tinted screen and a 5" x 7" number plate. The screen isn't to everyones liking, but I liked it so left it on (and I do have the original too). The switch was fitted by the first UK owner as a cooling fan override because there was a problem with the thermostat (which he subsequently fixed). I have the full size number plate too, but it's always passed it's MOT's with the 5" x 7" whilst i've had it. it has the full, original exhaust, which is spot on. It has recently had a new rear tyre (BT96).

The bike has no MOT right now (lack of time meaning I haven't been able to take it), but I will ensure it has a full 12 months before selling. It has no tax either, as I had no intention of using it though the salty winter.

As I said the bike is what I would call mint, but that doesn't mean it's an unblemished concourse showpiece . It has been very well looked after, which is clear to see, but it has been used and does have a few small marks on it, nothing serious. People often comment on it's condition in fact. I looked for 6 months for one before finding this one practically on my doorstep (by accident!) and it was the best I saw by a mile. Since then I've probably only seen one or maybe two that are as good. Though I don't think I've seen one as original, they ususally have end cans / paint jobs etc...

(I do have some old pics of it, which I'll dig out and post, or I will try to get time for some new ones this weekend and will confirm the mileage too).

I am looking for £1,900 o.n.o

I think that's about all I can say about it. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to PM me.

Thanks
Tony

Here are a couple of pics. They are quite old, but the bike is exactly the same now.

I remembered to double check the mileage!

I'd got it completely wrong - It's actually just under 17,000 kilometres. So about 12,000 miles.

I knew it was around 15,000 when I got it, but I couldn't remember whether that was the Km reading, or the converted to miles figure.

Anyway as I say, it's just under 17,000 Km on the clock.

Cheers
