Default Hazel Blears

...has paid the capital gains tax, £13500 or so. She was on the TV saying that she paid it out of her motorbike fund. She rised a Duc at the moment. What was she planning on buying

She can always make up the money out of her forthcoming redundancy package.
She should buy a Sprint to help her on her way.

Well, she will get her redundancy pay soon enough, only the first 30 grand is tax free, so at least the taxman should get another cut

No they do not get redundancy (in effect being elected is a fixed term contract) but they do get £42K (yes £42k!!!!) winding up allowance to cover shutting up shop in London.

I thought one of their committees into standards had said that the allowance should be treated like a redundancy payment.

which probably means the whole allowance should be taxable, but by calling it redundancy they get the first 30 grand tax free

I personally can't stand the sight of her, and as soon as she opens her trap, I want to throw something at the telly!
Shes tooo happy and jolly to people, even when shes in the wrong, makes me squirm.
She babbles without taking breath, its very annoying.

Didn't know she was a biker type, but found this pic of her

shes absolutely tiny!
