Default Leathers bunching behind knees

Hi guys,

I've had my favourite leather pants for ~10 years now, as long as I've been riding. I've tried others and always come back to these (Hein Gericke), but so far this year they've bunched up behind the knees (8-10 rides out).

Being very warm and slightly sweaty today, these have really rubbed and bugged me all day. Is this a common thing? I'd expect it on new or poorly fitting leathers, but not older ones.

I've got a day riding at Mallory Park booked for Wednesday and would like to get this sorted. Any advice?

Cheers,
Chris

Have you lost or gained any weight? Or changed boots?

Neither, I'm pretty much the same build as I was. Waist band's a little tighter, but still comfortable. This one's got me confused

Is it the heat? I wear proskins lycra trousers under mine, stops them sticking.

Ha! Found out what it was!

This year I've been wearing SealSkinz waterproof & thermal socks on the bike. They're thicker & longer than my usual sports socks; it seems like they stop the leathers from going so far down my calves when I straighten my leg, so they get bunched when I bend again. Doh!
