Most bike manufacturers seem to recommend leaving tyre pressure alone for pillion work. I do not adjust my pressures for for a pillion or other load. I have Storms.

the pressure on the SV 1000 should be upped as Girth had the pleasure of proving to me.650 stays the same

thanks for all the replies
![]() received email from Avon ( I had asked them re tyre pressures 2 up approx 25 stone of weight) response :- Hi Steve, Yes, I think when running with a pillion you should use 36psi front and 41psi rear. Best regards, Peter J McNally M/C Technical Product Manager 01225 357753 www.avonmotorcycle.com Cheers Steve

I found myself quicker and more confident adjusting the preload to keep the static sag the same and keeping the pressures the same. The variation in how it felt was more to get used to, so left it all the same.
your results may vary. Half the fun is in experimenting ![]()
