Default Is it Possible to Paint/Powdercoat Exhausts?

If I buy a s/s exhaust in silver, is it possible to powder coat the exhaust black?

Cheers, David.

My SV has a black powder coated can on it - cost me £7 extra when I bought it from Freeflow Systems.

Someone posted up last week about this - I would investigate CERAMIC coating it - search for this and you should find it - I think the company that does it is called Camcoat.

you could always tak the cheap option and do it yourself with a couple of can of matt black BBQ paint.

BTW, just noticed your change of name, Sally!

My red pointy will hopefully end up being only red and black, pillion mounts and pegs, 'rearsets' and front forks all want to be black

Only problem is the exhaust system system is silver, and the engine casing on the RHS is silver, and the sprocket cover is plasticy silver(yes I made that word up ).

Ah well in thats case you may be better of taking all those bits to get powder coated as the BBQ paint wouldn't be any good for footpegs etc as it will probably chip off far too easily and end up looking tatty.

I had thoughts of doing the same to mine...but now i think i'll wait to see how much it costs you and how good it looks first

I think if you get it painted/powder coated you will be disappointed in the long run.
