I'm currently insured with Equity Red Star through Carole Nash and it cost me £211 for this year (had license 20yrs, but this year was the 1st year back on bike after a long lay off so no NCB).
Took out current policy in July '08 and had my off in Feb '09. Still waiting to go to court (as 3rd party denies liability), but need to re-insure soon. Carole Nash are quoting £311 but just wondered if any can recommend any other insurers that may specialise in cases where the liability has not yet been established? |

Yeah, once it's sorted and I (hopefully) win, I can include the difference in any claim against the 3rd party. Hopefully when they get the summons they'll bottle it, although they have a witness and I don't.
![]() I am hoping that physics and logic are my witnesses! |

Mine have paid out 'without prejudice' but apparently that isn't good enough, it gonna be 2 years since soon. Seeing the doctor for the all clear soon too but I don't asee the point in seeing a doctor well over a year after the accident. meh aslong as it hurries up the case.

Try MCE.
I'm insured with KGM through them on a new policy after my old one was cancelled due to a claim. If you take out a new policy you have to tell them that you have a claim pending and they'll add it to your new policy. Unfortunatley though they classify pending claims as fault claims (on your part) until they are otherwise resolved. HTH ![]() |

I crashed in Jan 08, new bike transferred onto that policy in March 08, policy Renewal in Oct 08.
I was due to have 2 years NCB at renewal but as there was an outstanding claim, I wasn't entitled to anything. My broker called my insurer and they ended up giving me 1 years NCB with the proviso that if the outstanding claim came back as no-fault (it was fairly cut and dried that it would) I would get a refund of the difference between what I paid with 1 years NCB and for the whole 2years NCB - this cheque DID get to me when things were sorted. On the other hand, if it HAD gone to an at fault claim, I would have had to pay the amount that 1years NCB had dropped the quote. You may be able to swing something like this - ie insure with 0 NCB but get a refund when the claim is sorted out.
