Where are you? Not going to let a new Oxford rider avoid their rightful section

lol Hi!
Had a great ride out to Gloucester today to see my Uncle (bike mechanic), even more fun on the way back. A40 is a fantastic bit of road, saw plenty of bikers enjoying a sunday ride like me, even an SV when I was nearing Oxford. Metallic blue fully faired pointy, looked nice!
Took the bike for a good clean afterwards, she's looking much better for it

Are there many Oxford riders on here then? Do you meet up often?

There are only two really, me and Philbut (and he is on holiday climbing a volcano in Ecuador). I also have two more mates in Oxford that don't own sv's but I haven't seen for a while. WalkaboutAndy lives in Brackley and is a great guy, so usually us three ride down to the Shirehorse meet together. The TVSF is a great friendly group, so come along to the next meeting with us! I'd be happy to go for a ride with you if you fancy. The A40 is indeed quite fun, I trust you enjoyed Fish Hill? The best road around here is the B4011, I'll show you it next time you are free! I could possibly do a ride this Tuesday night if you want?

Wow just saw you are a games tester! I love gaming, its one of my main hobbies. What are your main favourites at the moment? I just had a mobo blow up along with my PSU so I have a gameless system right now, but I was playing a lot of Fallout 3 and Crysis before then. I think I met another guy who was a games tester in Oxford, I think the company he worked for worked on some game called sniper elite or something I think.

Fish Hill? No idea!
Tuesdays is Martial Arts for me so I'll have to pass on that, any other weeknight is good though if you're up for it!

Well i'm currently enjoying Street Fighter IV as it JUST came out on PC, was pretty fanatical about SFIII Third Strike.
I really enjoyed Fallout 3 although it pales in comparison to the first 2 imo
I'm working at Rebellion where sniper elite was made, testing team is fairly small, chances are I'll know this chap!

Fish hill is at 52.032033, -1.834803 on googlemaps, I think you would have noticed it if you went on it, its a huge triplet of sweeping bends up a big hill! Great fun!

Wednesday I might be able to do. PM me your mobile number and I'll let you know.

Fallout 2 was brilliant! It had such a great aura about it. I used to play SF 2 on the SNES, not really seen it since then. I am mostly into RPGs, RTSs and FPS, but any game that is good makes me happy. Altime favourite game: Operation Flashpoint. used to play that online on huge capture the Island missions, took hours of 100s of square km, it was awesome.

I am trying to think of who it was I was talking to. I was drunk and in a pub so unlikely to remember sadly haha. If it wasn't some guy called Marc, then it was a total random I'm afraid. All I remember them saying is recommending Sniper Elite if I like Operation Flashpoint.

I used to love that game too. Great memories spending hours sneaking around the forests, getting ambushed and shot by bullets that came from seemingly nowhere!

You should give ArmA2 a try if you liked Op Flash. ArmA2 is basically Operation Flashpoint 2, made by the same development studio (unlike the "official" Op Flash 2 coming out later this year), it came out a few weeks ago and i'm loving it, pretty buggy but much the same kind of gameplay, realistic bullet and wind physics and all that jazz.

Wednesday is good with me, will pm you
No idea who Marc is =p

Hi. Welcome to the site. More importantly, welcome to TVSF.
