Default Sam's ridedout to the sea

I found a good route to the sea on Friday, so thought I'd lead a ride there sometime soon, maybe later on in the month. Anyone interested?

The route was Windsor to East Wittering, where there's a decent pub just near the beach for lunch/pint/whatever. I don't know this bit of south coast so if someone can recommend a better destination in the same area then do so.

I came back the way I went, there is small alternative route we can do if people wish, but I can't vouch for the roads!

If anyone knows of a good way to get to Basingstoke then let me know, the best I could come up with was the A33 from Reading.

If there is interest I'll create a google map with the route. If I'm leading you may have to ride slower than normal too!

Here's the route I did down there (and back as it happens!)

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...7,0.44014&z=11

And here's the possible detour on the way home.

Let me know what you think of it! There are a few tight corners under trees, so beware!

I know the exact spot on that photo. Directly behind is a little chippy, couple a tables and a few chairs to sit on.

Can't do any ride this month. Licence back on the 20th. And busy every weekend following.

See Sam, you should have advertised your ride in the normal manner. Then everyone could have voted saying they want to go and then later on could have had the chance to come up with a reason (excuse) why they can no longer make it.
