Default Biking schools in the North West?

My neighbour is looking at getting on a bike and asked me who I used. As it was 8 years ago I thought I'd ask the masses with more recent experience:

Who are the good bike schools in the North West? (we're based in Bolton)

Answers on a postcard to the usual address

Only one I can comment on are Kick-start in Blackpool (in the phone book). I found them good for learning, but there should be lots closer to you.

Hen & Chickens in Maghull seems to have a high throughput, not sure of the quality though.

Riverview gets a recommend from me too. They managed to get me to pass, so they must be wizards!

Plus, a few of the bike lads at work recommend them, that's good enough for me.

I used to work for a company in Crewe called Bikezone 01270 500040. They were ok for training, but a bit far from Bolton I would have thought.
