Now, I've replaced the indicators on my other SV with LED's and as you can imagine the flash rate is a touch high.
I was looking at putting in the resistors, which I will need one for each led, or does anyone know of a flasher I could use to replace the original with. So save a lot of hot resistors being wired into the bike. |

I believe Motrax / GB Moto do flasher relays from Halfords and other outlets. They should be plug & play and I imagine replace the charge / discharge cycle which involves the resistance of the bulbs for timing with an internal timing circuit. Easy, but much dearer than a couple of extra resistors.

Yep I'm more then happy to get a few resistors and wire them in.

Dan
I had resistors on my SV1000 for 4 years with no problem - IIRC they were 10w 10ohm from Maplins, about 40p each, one for each indicator - might evan have a couple of spares at home still if you need them. Matt

I'll be poping down to Maplins later, but thanks for the offer.

I'd go for the flasher rather than the resistors any time, I dont like the idea of hot pieces of metal buried away in the plastics/underseat of the bike.

If you really must, make sure they are well insulated (to avoid a short) and jubilee-clip them/epoxy them to the frame as a heat-sink.
