Hi im still unsure whether a k3 GSXR600 forks will fit on a k6 pointy, has anybody actually tried it, if so does it still use the existing parts/bit from the sv? basically swap forks around and dats it?

nope you need yokes, wheel, spindle, callipers, disks, clipons, mudguard, speedo fix, brake lines etc. etc.
the only thing you can use from the sv is top nut and ignition and mabee the brake hoses but they will be a bit long. its cheaper to do and easier to get gsxr600 k1-3 as they are RWU forks but have cartage internals. the only real difficulty is getting the front wheel. another plus point is they look very OEM when fitted but are a vast improvement over the standard forks. if its performance and not bling your after then they are the way to go... ask svdemon he has just done the gsxr600 RWU conversion. |
