Question New to SV's - Engine Sound

Had my K7 (twin spark std exhaust) now for 10 days and covered 2000 kms - quick question, engine noise, do they normally sound 'growelly', tis hard to explain but a bit like the main bearings are rough. Much more pronounced at lower rpm under load and a bit worse when the engine is colder.

The noise has gotten no worse over the 2000 kms plus I wear open face so prob am more aware of engine noises

Mike

and the standard can dont help. Best first mod is to get a decent can and enjoy the lovely V twin soundtrack as you ride about

ain't no expert but i experienced this as my previous bike was a inline 4 and the top end seems alot more tappety than my 400, had the cam covers off and checked the valve clearances and in tolerance. so i've just put it down to it being a v-twin.
