Default Team Building ideas...

Ok guys, been tasked with sorting a office team building day for my department (i get all the good jobs lol ) and was wondering if you lot have any ideas?

It kinda has to be free, or close to, as being a charity we cant really go spending dosh on things that are Operationally important

Any ideas would be great guys

Why dont you ask the people your are organising the team building exercise for what they want to do.

I hate these kind of things, they always seem forced and false, I do anything I can to get out of them, I'm more inclined to go if I have been asked to give input into what the activity might be...

Could create a real life problem/challenge/scenario and put people in groups to solve them?

+1

I'd be inclined to set something up outdoors and get people moving and relying on each other, but in an open environment where people can also have fun......laughing together is far more bonding than sitting in an office doing a range of tasks, being told to take it seriously!

Blow the budget on a team P up in the local. It would be far more productive.

Teams are for loosers who do not have the initiative, self reliance and ambition to rise above the herd. It is an excuse for not letting natural leaders demonstrate their ability in case they outshine their lords and masters.

My boss knows I don't do teams and why.

how big is the team?

how fit is the team?

the middle of Dartmoor, one compass, one map, and a trek at night ...certainly sort the old team dynamics

ask some of you op teams what makes a good team...then emulate it as a senario, group dynamics, a goal, and a reason to do it are all you need
