Searching for a private plate! - SV650.org

Im after a private plate for my SV.
Been on the sites cant find the one im looking for!
Is there anyway of seaching the address of the owner, giving them a bell and offering to buy it off them?
Or just plain NO!?!

If it's one in particular?
find out what vehicle it' on (say by listing it for sale on ebay by reg no.)
Then contact DVLA with some fraudlent reason that you need to contact the owner & pay the couple of quid

take it its personal to you and not the SV. Ive got personal plate on my sv that is personal to sv but I really dont see the point in personal plates
