Default K9 Exhaust

Hello All,

*Had a search...didn't find the answer.*

Finally might be in the position to change my exhaust on the SV. I remember many months ago TSM saying something about a sensor being in the end can and I would need to so something about it. Anyone know what I would need to do it I wanted to replace with a beowulf warrior?

Cheers in advance.

AH, I might just have the right answer. I replaced my K9 silencer last week with a Fuel can, like yourself I had read the thread and seen the photo of the cut link pipe where the cut had gone through the end of the CAT insert. I made my cut at 54mm from the EDGE OF THE WELD LINE using a jubilee clip as the cutting guide. When cut, I was within 1mm of the CAT "perfect". I used a vacuum to remove swarfe and started the engine for a couple of seconds to remove any other debris, Job done.
Even managed to get the foot/exhaust protector back on BUT take care that the bolts on said protector have not been Welded? as mine were I had to cut through the bolt with a Dremel, took twice as long as it did to fit the new exhaust.
Have fun/cover everything up.

Cool, so it's just a CAT I need to beware of? I was under the impression there was an oxygen sensor or something?

Do you have to leave the CAT in, or did you take it out?

No I did'nt bother to remove the sensor, everything is solid enough as long as you use new fine toothed blades easy peasy.
