Default Boundary Height Help - front Garden.

Well I know its 6` on the rear gardens, but is that the same for a front garden, anybody know? Its just the Mrs keeps getting verbal from my neighbour and I either erect a boundary or get into trouble with the authoroties! There is already a small wall about 24" between our driveways. In the image below you can see the boundary along the right hand side. Thanks for any comments.

Anything in front of the building line of the house is dependant on any local authority rules/planning permission. Also, there may be a covenant applied to the deeds by the original builders, e.g. at our previous house we weren't allowed to build a front wall to the garden.

You may also need consent from your neighbour to put a fence that high on the dividing line.

Any chance of resolving the issue over a coffee?

Which side is yours, i dont think it would look at all out of place to take it to the height of the cars.

This sort of thing is rich pickings for lawyers. You would be amazed at how often this happens.

Bri's advice is good. Settle it before it gets out of hand.

She gets verbal from the neighbour? Could be worse, she could be getting oral.

Anyway, if the wall is 2ft high, tell her to crawl down the drive. That should keep her out of sight

Thanks for your comments, mine is the LH drive.
There is no way he will discuss with us, he is just rude and has too much time on his retired hands. sadly I tried to speak about it and he just wanted to spout on about his rights. never mind eh. We may put some leylandi trees along that edge and convert the front lawn to driveway.
once again thanks for the comments, I will also seek local authority advice.
