This sort of topic has been done before, but for the influx of newer people since then, and for all of he others to recall what they love about bikes...well, write it here.
I like motorcycling for the myriad of sensations it brings. The nice click when you snick another gear in (my bike shifts nice from 2nd to third and third to fourth). The feel of the engine pulling you when you just start to engage the clutch. The sound of the engine on the overrun (off the throttle). The smell when its raining (when you know what that smell is, you dont mind it, because it means its just raining!). I like riding on a cold but sunny winters day. I like riding on a warm sunny sumemrs morning. I like riding alone, maybe with a few people, definatly with Maria as pillion. I like to ride far, I like to ride on winding country roads. I enjoy riding in traffic and using my slow-speed skills. I like to ride at a comfortable pace and take in the smells and sights around me. What about you? |

Hmmmm. I just like riding, any bike or any where will do (other than rush hour central London in the rain that is).
I like when I take a corner and everything just seems to click into place, and you exit thinking - "I couln't have done that much better" rather than "I'll go faster / slower next time". I like exploring new places and getting that feeling of adventure when you arrive in a far away place with just your luggage and your bike. I like getting bike to work when they are broken, or making them run better than before. I LIKE FILTERING when there is a big traffic jam, and my Mrs wanted to take the car ![]() |

A cager at work asked me a while ago "Why do you ride a bike? They're just dangerous."
After a detailed explanation of how they aren't dangerous, I came to the following answer to their question. "Do you remember when you were a kid and you'd try to ride your bike up the biggest hill you could find in the area, and push the rest of the way to the top, just so you could ride down really fast. We'll for me, riding a motorbike recaptures that very same exhilarating feeling, every time I go out - even if it's just a five minute journey." |

The fact that controlling two wheels takes more effort and concentration than four, yet the rewards are inextricably higher.

I like the few moments that i'm actually on the bike and not the floor hahaha. but on serious note, without a cliche, just feel free as such.

It gets me away from the Mrs moaning about my perfectly acceptable, better record than her, driving... Oh, did I say that out loud...
