Default Flooding

The Environment Agency has put up the flood defences here - the Severn is very high. I was up in Wem (north Shropshire) this morning - on the way back the river has burst its banks in several places. And it's going to get worse. Readers in Worcester, get your sandbags ready

Think I will be going though Stourport on Saturday to get to my parents house rather than the little roads!

I was working in the lake district yesterday, the rivers are full, roads are getting large puddles / streams flowing across them. I be working up there again in a day or too. Cant wait.

The stream down the hill from me is about 18" lower than yesterday. It has been a nice dry day. The dog did not need washing after his walk etc. Will it last? NFC

Roads were closed across N. Wales yesterday, but improved through the day. My son had a fright when he decided to chance a flood on his way home from work, was about 4.5 feet deep! His 4x4 has a snorkel so got away with it.

Don't drive into floods (or fords) unless you know how deep they are and where your air intake is!

Today is the first dry day here (Cardiff) for about 2 weeks. Going to be hosing it down tomorrow/weekend, though

last year the end of my road was flooded, i knew how deep it was because of knowing the road well, so i went through it slowly in my old Hilux. The water came up to the bottom of the doors, so close to coming in. Then after seeing me go through it the corsa behind decided to follow me!

Nah cos he was in work. Daughter wanted to go out boating but could not get to any rivers that could be paddled due to flooded roads. She took some impressive photos though.
