I've done a search on here but can't quite seem to find what I'm after. So can anyone help?
I have managed to snap my rear brake pedal, so have just purchased another. Sorry if this is a silly question, but is it relatively easy to change over? Can you just remove the foot peg itself then just slide the brake lever in place? It's for a K5 naked, if that makes any difference? |

It's really self explanatory but I can't quite remember exactly how it's done. If I recall correctly I just undid the two bolts on the hanger took off the assembly and there's a bolt (chunky allen head IIRC) going through the back towards the peg, undo this and it comes apart. Put it back how it came apart (clean and grease moving shiz) and put it back on remember to hook the breaklight switch thing back on.

Yeah but I didn't know if I was exactly right!
Leeb - it's just one of those things that you can get your hands dirty and start, you hopefully should find it doable, no trouble but if not you can always come back and ask.

Should take no more than 20 mins, including cleaning/re-greasing. Might want to get a new split pin to go through the pin that holds the rear cylinder on too.

Cheers guy's for your help...
But I give up! The job looked simply enough. I just couldn't get the allen key bolt loose that goes in behind the peg! Was trying for ages but to no avail. I'll just take it to my garage and get them to try! |
