Parking in Leicester - SV650.org

I'm at DMU currently and wondered if anybody commues into the centre and can recommend a place to park?

Its just for one day a week as I cannot justify £11.30 on the train for one lecture so may start riding over when I only have one or two lectures, just need an appropriate place to park the bike.

Doesn't the Uni have bike parking? When I worked at Imperial College there was a large bike parking area.

Sort of, I've seen a few bikes parked on the pavement out main walking routes, may just do that.

you understand sods law means you park there and you all will get a ticket, if they have a car park just use a bay in there.

There is a carpark opposite my restarant ..... We have tickets which gives you 24hours for £3.50.... It is right next to the curve theatre don't know how that is from your uni as I am new to Leicester ...... If your interested pm me

when i used to work there the best place was behind the bookstore under the cameras.

but i know they're a lot stricter on parking control now. Staff have to pay over 100 notes for an annual permit. I'm not sure to what extent it applies to bikes though. I'll ask

That's still the best place apparently, and they've installed bars to lock to. Could'nt find if you needed a permit though, best to just give it a go

I was at uni at DMU between about 10 years ago!!!! lol. I'm sure its changed, but all the bikes etc used to park over by soar point and then around the back of the docs / technology centre too.
