Default M4 Slip on exhaust can

Been looking at a few exhaust videos on Youtube and came across these

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbUD9...layer_embedded

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMTqf...layer_embedded

I think the exhaust sounds awesome, best I have heard so far.

Do any .orgers have an M4 on their bike? If so where did you get it from and how much? The only place I can see that sell them in Blighty are JHS in Brizzle.

Also is the exhaust stupidly loud cause it does seem pretty loud in the videos. Do you get a lot of hassle from the plod? Are they too loud for trackdays?

Really want to get rid of the bazooka on my SV but want to make the right choice.

i have a full TI Force titanium systemon my thou.
It is loud, but it is possible to make it not stupidly loud should the need arrise.
Mine was over £1100, but the 650 will obviously be cheaper.

The Raptor has a pair of M4s on it. exceptionally loud but they compliment the vtwin roar rather a lot.

Not sure how it would sound on a single pipe like the SV....perhaps half the loudness of the Raptor.....hmmmmm then again

The M4s we got for the Raptor were about 150quid for the pair, but they were bought privately.
They were slip ons, and included the link pipes

the main selling point for M4 is their pipework to be honest, I had a complete race system on the SV, but wasn't that impressed with the quality of the can itself, nothing wrong with it, but just a basic race can, I had mine modded by Rennegade and one of their own cans fitted (swappable if needed with the original). good dyno results, sounded awesome, but not cheap.

Cheers Mark.

Well I was origionally looking at a Beowulf or Blue Flame, something cheap and cheerful just so I can actually hear the engine. I am not really fussed about performance increases as I am yet to use full throttle anyway

I thought the M4 sounded the best from the clips I have seen on youtube but I don't really want to upset the neighbours and can't be doing with being pulled over everytime I go anywhere cause the bike is too loud.

Yeah, i spoke to the ppl at JHS in Bristol and they said its kinda a grey area, because the can is not marked for road use but nor is it marked race only....dno if that helps your decision at all.
