asus eee pc

howdie all i have a small problem with my daughters asus eee pc she didnt like the linux op on it so i put a cut down version (400mb) of windows xp but now the wifi wont work? i downloaded the correct driver and it worked for a short while but now it dont? any ideas?

Is it switched on by cycling through the options on one of the F keys (together with the function key)? In windows set up (somewhere in networking and wireless) there's a tickbox for 'let windows manage my wireless stuff' or similar, may sort it if that is selected. I've got an eee with windows if you want to cross check any settings. I've got the windows recovery disc too somewhere too, if that helps.
