Default How easy is to add full fairing to SV650S Pointy?

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a pointy sv650S and quite like the look of the full fairing version. From the ones that have been put up for sale, some have them and others don't. I was wondering how much the panels cost and how easy they were to fit. Also where have people got them and did they buy them colour-coded or whether they sprayed them themselves. Just need an idea on the conversion to see if I should pay extra for a full fairing one to avoid the hassle of doing it myself.

Panels apx £200 - 230, but deals can be found. Fitting kit (very easy to do) only available from a stealer, apx £115.

I bought mine from the bay of ghey for about £130 (colour coded) and I bought the fitting kit from my local stealer.

Keep an eye out for panels on eBay. Some dealers bought a load of them including the fitting kits and are knocking them out below £200.

Otherwise it's a case of biding your time and looking for panels individually. They come up quite often and I'm sure as the weather improves there'll be more about with 'minor' scratches/scuffs that can be polished out/resprayed.

Ebay has loads of cheap brand new lowers with fitting kits included. I got mine off Ebay from Alpha Motorcycles (Suzuki dealer) for £120. They were not the correct colour but once colour matched and painted professionally they look great. If can find them in the colour your want they are a real bargain. Seems to be a good selection of various colours on there most of the time.

The only Alpha Motorcycles on Ebay only seem to sell bikewear not bike parts... am I missing something?
