I know I know, not another Apple Thread,
But just wanted to let you know i had a really pleasant experience yesterday in the apple store.
My Iphone every now and again went into silent mode on its own behalf, I think this is due to it being dropped around 15 times over the past year.
I had around 27 days left on my warranty so i took it into the Apple store and told them about the problem and the phone went into silent mode while he was inspecting the device, he just asked me if I had a backup, I said yes and he gave me a brand new phone there and then.
I was expecting to get a temp phone and it would go off for repair but no I get a nice new shiny phone and another 90days warranty.

Lets hope they are that good with my 1 month old fubar'ed iplop.

Had good experiences both times I've been in an Apple Store. Guy very friendly when I bought a keyboard for my Quicksilver G4, folks in other Apple Store overly friendly when I wanted a new battery for my iBook.

A friend bought a Macbook and has apparently had one-to-one help on how to use it (because Macs are reet trickeh)

Of course you're aware that you've paid for the first phone, this replacement, the next replacement and possibly another one after that all in the price of the first one you bought??
