I love the 'we value your business'

WELL PICK UP THE PHONE THEN ....

It gets better though ....

After about 5mins you get .... 'Please enter your phone number, and we'll call you back'

You enter the number ... then get .... 'I'm sorry, your details could not be saved ... please call back at 9am'

9am ?? WTF ??

Never again for me. TBH, I could not fault their sales people apart from renewal costs. But unless you explicitly cancel at policy end they will attempt to renew and charge you

MCE attempted to murder me judging by the insurance cost they quoted me for. Steering well clear of 'em.

Funny you should start a thread about these, because.

I cancelled my insurance with them - well tried to, they told me I would have to pay them £30 to cancel the policy and a further £140 to cancel with the insurers, so that is £170 to cancel my insurance. This was for an insurance policy I didn't want anyway, but because they sent me the renewal paperwork a week before (although was dated 4 weeks before) my renewal, and by the time I had got round to sorting it, my renewal date was the day before, it would cost me £50 to cancel the policy and I was told there is no cooling off period that would enable me to not have to pay. I didn't have the £50 to pay it off so left it running till last month when I sold the bike so insurance was not needed I thought I'll cancel it, was told about the £170, told them of the problems I had had with them and that I would like someone from the credit department to call me back, somebody from this department emailed me and told me to call him, I tried at 9 the next day, he was on the phone and I was told he would call me back, I called again at 5 oclock as I had stayed in all day waiting, and he was on the phone again and I was told they would try to get him to call me, 2 weeks on and I am still waiting for that phonecall, they tried to take money via DD on the 17th but I have cancelled the DD awaiting their resolution, so I'm expecting a nice letter in the post soon enough

I tired one of the comparison sites today and they came up with quite a good price. A quick call to the AA who did me a great price last year got it matched anyway. Glad I avoided them by the sounds of it!

MCE are great hauling you in with cheap quotes... but you end up paying for there faarrk ups in the long run... i agree, OH been in the same boat as some of you, avoid!!! (OH paid £200 deposit which they never credited to the credit agreement and its been a bloooody long battle with them - they say they got some verbal agreement from him over the phone and we await the voice recording of this... we not holding our breath and definately will not be renewing with them!)
