I would like some new gloves but....
these are to be used for all year round running. I would like something with good to above average protection. Something with some tarty carbon fiber would be nice. They can not be race gloves! i have very cold hands and just a thin leather glove would not be suitable. (i looked at the dino gloves yc has and there wicked but im sure my fingers would freeze! gutted! I need to be able to buy them from a shop (i have funny girly hands and need to try before i buy) under 100 notes!!! it would be nice to be waterproof black preferably. ive seen some triumph carbon gloves on ebay for 60 quid that look nice but also really lie the ones yc has but just without the air holes. oh and they have to fit OVER a jacket. Ideas? |

Take £100...
Spend £50 on a pair of summer gloves Spend £50 on a pair of winter gloves Enjoy not being cold in winter and sweating like a blind lesbian in a fish shop in summer... ![]()

As above, you could get a couple of pairs of Spada's for that money. I use them and they rate highly in Ride magazine tests.
Spada enforcers for winter, see the mini review and Optima III for summer. Last edited by BigBaddad; 31-03-10 at 08:51 PM. |

that was a 'lol' right there.
Build quality x a million better, they're actually waterproof, I can feel the bikes controls, they fit me much better (but that's just down to me I guess) only down side about them is the gauntlet bit isn't big enough for my liking so feel a bit draughty round the wrists. Seem to be as warm but I wear thin inner gloves on cold days too as my circulation's mega poor.

Hmmm..the Halvarssons look like the ones I should have got instead of the Spada Enforcers. Don't get me wrong, the Enforcers are good, but my downside is your upside in that the gauntlets are too big and therefore difficult to get under the cuffs of your textile jacket.
They are warm and waterproof though. Edit: Spada's have a wiper blade on the left thumb too. |
