Opinions on what new mobi to get.

I'm getting a bit bored of my phone, an LG Secret. Well, actually i'm bored of everyone else taking the pi$$ when it dies, yet again.

Other than the poor battery and the fact the camera has been iffy for ages and is now officially dead, it was a rather nicely put together phone and it's held up well to my abuse of it.


I'm interested in a handful of replacements so if anyone has any input for any of these, that would be great. It's an awful long way to a phone shop from here, and no guarantees they'd have any/all of these anyway!

Acer Liquid - they're new-ish to mobile's so my worry is long term build quality, other than that quite nice i think.

Sony Aino or Satia - what's the better one. Liking the Aino more myself, but can't deny a 12MP camera is fab.

HTC Hero - seems an amazing bit of kit. Should I hold out for Andriod2.1 tho? Or can you get the software retro-upgraded from the current one?

Iphone....erm, no thanks I'll pass.

It's very nice ta. Cored and stubbied a set of cans for it last month so it's got the soundtrack to match the attitude now. Sounds like this.

Shame i have only been out for about 2 hours in January this year then eh! Really need a decent spell of rain to clean up the road surfaces, it's greasy with grit and salt still... and the damn potholes, good grief!

Are you reg'd on Tuonozone, Numbers? They're a mad bunch.


D'ya know I've never ever had a Nokia. The X6 is meant to be a good un tho so good luck with it.

I am now an Ex Tuono owner when i crashed mine in April last year, I sold it after it was repaired as I didnt think going to my wedding in cast would be a good start to Married life. I was on the AF1 Forum.

back on topic, ill post a review if I decide to keep it, my first test is does it look like it will break if I drop it, if the answer is yes it goes back in the post.

The android phones will self-update, as soon as the phone maker decides that its OK with their hardware. I'm running a G1 and looking to replace it with the latest version next month, but in that time it has updated from a 1.2 or similar to version 1.6.

I'm quite liking the X6. Had it 4 days so still quite new. I haven't dropped it down the toilet - yet - so can't vouch for its' sturdiness.
