Radiator cap - GSXR cap fit my bike?
A bit of a lengthy and obscure one here, sorry.
Just bought a new rad for a k5, which came without the cap. The cap on my original rad has crash damage, so I need a replacement. The part costs 25 quid new and there aren't any on ebay. There are loads for GSXRs and other suzuki bikes which all have the same cap (part no 17730-12c20). The sv650 cap has part number 17730-19011. They look the same in pics and are both 1.1 bar. Question is whether they are compatible? If so, why is the part number different? If not, why the hell does the sv have a different cap from all other 600-1300cc suzuki bikes? Maybe they just want to make it harder for sv riders! Cheers Jonny |
