What bike? year?
If its a pointy might aswell have it done for free, but make sure they give you the full power ecu aswell. This means u can flog the 33bhp (restricted one ) when you want to. Also take all of 5mins ....if its the ecu on a pointy. |

Is this a brand new bike?
As was the case when I got mine, they only offer free restricted ECUs if you are a restricted licence holder, so it might be that if you pick up the bike beforehand you could blag it by saying you're only doing the A1 test which means you'll need a 33bhp restrictor. If you pick it up after you've successfully completed the full power DAS I don't think you have a chance of getting a free restrictor as they are something stupid like £200+ from Suzuki. If you do get it restricted, you should also receive the full power ECU free of charge. To change them out literally takes a couple of mins. Just 4 allen key bolts, take the seat off and unplug, replace ECU - job done! Hope this helps. |

Which you cant ride with only having a CBT as even restricted its over the BHP limit.
If you are over 21 and doing DAS theres no point getting the SV restricted as you wont be on a restricted license. i think...

You're missing something. You haven't passed a practical motorcycle test and therefore have no licence to ride anything over 125cc/14.6hp on the roads unless accompanied by a qualified instructor.
