Default 3 Sisters racing 7th October

Well, my son was racing at 3 Sisters last weekend, so went with him camera in hand. I knew that Whitty was going, so thought I'd take some shots of him in action. After the initial fog, which lasted until lunchtime, racing got underway & everybody had a fantastic days racing. My problem is now, I want to go & play again, so it looks like my CBR Steel frame will be turned into a track bike for next year Whitty had a a few problems early doors (including waiting on the start line to pop a massive wheelie & chase after everybody else lol ) but he did a personal best & a 3rd place, so good on yer mate.

Clubman racing....From one extreme......

To another...

Wee bit foggy

The classics boys always give a good show

Son number 1

Whitty "On it!"

Son Number 2. We had major problems with the bike until we found out he only had 12psi in his tyres...DOH!

Some close racing during the day

This guy came from the Isle of Man just to get a signature to go National racing next year. He reckoned he wouldn't get out of 1st gear all the way round lol

Whoopsie

My Favourite picture all day

Cheers Brett The good thing about Wigan is tht you can get really close to the track. I use a Canon 75 - 300 mm zoom lens. It's not an expensive one, but does seem to take some nice shots. I also take all of my pictures in full manual these days.

Picture 7 I was gonna say your focussing was a little off but you seem to have got the woman in the background in good focus

Cool re the lens, I don't have any expensive glass either but its the focal lengths that I'm wondering what was necessary. I expected you to need a larger aperture to to get them so sharp, might have to have a bash and stop assuming I can't do something

Get yourself on a track day, they are normally free to watch. Have a play, I've seen how good your pics are, so I feel that you will get some cracking results

Top pics bud. I'm number 321 if anyone's wondering. I remember the one with the sun trying to burn through then fog really came in! Got 2 third places on Saturday aswell as one on Sunday and got in to sub one minute lap 'club' so well pleased. I bet your Chris regretted turning up in a van with tyre changing gear on board! Word soon spreads! can't believe seasons over, feels like its not been going that long. Hope you are gonna get back out there next year.

They do the charity ride out evenings but I think last one for this year may have been last week? You can use any type of bike and just pay for so many laps. Some guys from border patrol and pennine massive have done it.
