Default Front carb full of fuel?

Put bike away two days ago all happy, Went to check it today and i saw fuel under the bike a small pool and it smelled pretty bad of fuel too. So i took airbox off for a better look and found the front carb was full of fuel and leaking but the rear one is fine as normal? Whats up with that, am i looking at new carb diaphragm or somthing else before i take carbs off. Does an sv have a fuel prime setting or somthing like that that would cause carb to fill up. Heres a few pics if they help.

Float or float needle sticking is the obvious likely cause.

Gotta be. Also maybe dodgy vacuum tap as that should stop fuel flow.

Definitely take the plug out and disconnect the coil in case it's hydrolocked

Yeah just pull carbs off, have some rags handy to catch the fuel.

Hydrolock is where the cylinder gets full of fuel... you try to crank it and the incompressibility of liquids bends your conrod on the compression stroke.

Please do not turn the engine over without removing the front spark plug. There's a chance that the front cylinder is full of fuel (depends what stroke it's on). Fuel doesn't compress all that well.

And yes, you'll be stripping the front carb & possibly the fuel-c0ck if that's not cutting the fuel flow when the engine's off.

Im guessing thats bad yeah? so if i strip carbs and clean/service them and put them back on will it be safe to start bike or do i have to take front plug out first?

If its a dodgy vacuum tap would that not fill both carbs with fuel as only front one is full of fuel?
