Hi Guys
my k3 sv1000 has sprung an oil leak, and it appears to be coming from behind the front sprocket cover... anyone got any experience of this or any ideas? cheers tom |

track down the source with talcum powder. its most likely the output shaft or clutch pushrod oil seal. Havent changed either on the sv myself but if its the pushrod it shouldnt be hard.
edit- sv1000 is hydraulic clutch right? so im not sure about how that goes together Last edited by mjc; 15-04-10 at 02:02 PM. |

Probabilities suggest clutch pushrod seal - as I've replaced two of them and never an output shaft seal.
Maybe.

appears to be pushrod seal. just need to run it now.
would this have anything to do with oil level? never had it before, just changed the oil and it is up to max when cold... im guessing it is. |
