Throttle cable installation

Hi all,

I'm just installing some new throttle cables and am wondering if it is essential to install the closing cable?

I know a lot of MX riders mod their bikes and lose the closing cable as it makes the throttle a little lighter.

It is for a race bike, not a road bike.

I know a lot of people do it.

Depends if you trust yourself to pull the clutch and hit the killswitch if it sticks rather than panicking.

Maybe worth checking the regs too - they may have something to say on the matter.
