Default New MV Augusta

My word, its nice.....

The old MV is a bit timeless, like My Nelli, it still looks fresh today. The styling was well ahead of its time (IMO) and it was a fantastic loking bike.

We had a new MV in the shop the other day, a customer had already ordered it. My word, its stunning.

Not seen a mag picture that really shows its lines properly, but when you have the new and old MV sitting next to each other, well it makes the old one look REALLY old and dated.

Exhausts, far better than the old round ones. They just look better on the bike.

The dials, oh my word. Stunning. You would want to ride it at night just to see that stunning blue.

At £14.250, it really makes paying £12k for an R1 a bit lame. For a few extra k, you can have some styling, soul, passion, THOSE dials (with stupid amounts of settings).

So, who's ordering one. They wouldn't let me take it out for a test ride

Is that the new one... because there is surely nothing new about it? Perhaps I just dont get MV Augustas.

There is no doubt they are a sexy bike, but I dont see how a colour change can class as a new bike.

It looks very very similar to the old F4, but when sat next to it you can see its a completly different bike. Really is a fantasic looking machine. And I do mean TOTALLY different bike. Fairings, chassis, engine, exhausts, seat/tail unit, tank, screen, the full lot. Thats what I mean by it looks similar, but when compared, totally different.

They had a black one in, red frame. Spank worthy.

Think you have to really see them next to each other to appreaciate how different a bike they are.

Oh, the rear wheels look the same, but about 1kg less each too

Pillion hangers need to come straight off though.

I always find it funny that they spend loads of time and money developing the styling of every component to make it look nice and work well at the same time.

Then they stick a really nasty number plate hanger on which everyone rips off and fits a tail tidy.

Barwell, so they looked wrong on the original MV??

tbh, I would rather the Mag wheels, but MV hasn't produced them on this bike. The new wheels are just about as light. Generally MV doesn't produce "R" or "S" versions like other brands, they will just run this production out. Give it 2 years I reckon, and it'll come as a higher spec'd more expensive model (Just like they done with the 312).

L3NNY, funnily enough, this was a discussion on saturday. The Large star/X shapped hanger at the bottom is an attachment which has the required reflector on it.

It wasn't fitted, so was just the smaller bit of metal thats connected to the indicators (which I have to say, for standard indicators, are pretty gcool looking). You wouldn't need a tail tidy, just don't fit the lower plate holder and fit the plate directly on the upper fitting assembly.
