Default Fazer Fuel Leak

Im looking for an explanation here more than anything, the fuel tank of my mates 98 fazer 600, on one side has the fuel tap and hoses, then on the other side has 2 more overflow hoses, one of which has just started to leak fuel all over the place. what is the purpose of these hoses?

it has just been to get water removed from the tank and the carbs if that is related

do you reckon there is any relevance to some form of blocked hose, leaking fuel and the fact that it had water in the carbs?

Could well be. If there is a busted pipe water gets into tank and fuel out. Looks like the tank needs taking apart and new lines. Might as well get new fuel filter while your at it.

Probably, like the SV there is a drain from the filler well, it's got blocked, or the pipe from it is kinked, that would account for the water in the fuel.
Now it's rusted through inside the tank and so there's fuel running through its lower section and out of the well drain.
